Overall Opinion:

Protein World The Slender Tea got 2 out of 5 starts from us.  After testing it out, I found it to be a sub par detox tea.

The only things I like are its ease of use, price, and the taste was alright.

I didn’t notice any long term weight loss results.  After using it for a few days, I lost about 2 lbs, but that was only from using the restroom so often.  It was all water weight I gained back after using this tea.

This detox tea contains 2 laxatives, one being very strong.  Cassia is from the same plant as Senna Leaves, and will have you running to the bathroom multiple times per day!  Not a fun experience if you ask me.

I also didn’t like that this tea doesn’t have a money back guarantee.  Their return policy is also pretty lame.

I had some unwelcome side effect while using this teatox such as dehydration, weakness, and using the restroom excessively.

So overall, I wasn’t too impressed with this tea.

Detailed Opinion:

Ease of Use

This tea is pretty easy to use.  Unlike most teas, you don’t use boiling hot water, which is inconvenient in my opinion.  You’re instructed to use boiled water that has been left to cool 2 minutes.

You then brew the teabag for 2-5 minutes.  I’d err on the 2-minute side, because this tea has 2 laxatives in it and you don’t want to brew it too strong.

I steeped mine for 2 minutes and then took the teabag out.

Taste

I wasn’t very impressed by the taste of this tea.

It tastes like bland mint, green tea.

The mint taste is hardly there, so it mostly just tasted like bland green tea.

I didn’t enjoy drinking this one twice a day.

Ingredient Analysis

Protein World The Slender Tea has two laxatives in it, one being very strong.

It contains Cassia, which comes from the same plant as Senna Leaves.  Cassia is a strong laxative ingredient that really doesn’t sit well with me and my digestive tract.

It also contains Dandelion, which is a gentle laxative, but a laxative nonetheless.  I’m usually okay with Dandelion if it’s the only laxative ingredient included, but combined with Cassia is a very strong combo.

This tea also contains Green Tea, which has caffeine for energy.  It’s also known to help aid in weight and fat loss.

The Slender Tea also contains Fennel which is know for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

Results

After using this tea for the first few days, I lost about 2 lbs.  Don’t be fooled though, this was all water weight.  I was using the restroom so often that of course I’m going to lose a little water weight.  I gained the weight back immediately after stopping this tea.

I unfortunately didn’t notice any long term weight loss or slimming effects.

This tea is good to use every once in a while if you’re constipated, but I don’t think it’s healthy to use long term to lose weight.

I noticed I was a little weaker in the gym while using this tea, and I think it’s because I was dehydrated due to how often I was using the restroom.

I was using the restroom more than often.  I was also dehydrated and felt weak in general.
