Overall Opinion:

Overall, I gave Total Tea Gentle Detox 2.5 out of 5 stars.  I think it’s a very average teatox; there’s nothing special about it.

For starters, I really like that they offer a money back guarantee.  Finally, a company that stands behind their products.  So there’s very little risk in trying out this tea.  If you don’t like it, you can send it back!

It’s also very easy to use, which is nice.  It comes in teabags, and you only need to drink one per day.  It’s caffeine free so you can drink it whenever you’d like, but I’d recommend drinking it at night because it contains Chamomile, which helps you sleep.

The taste is okay; it tastes like citrus, with a bit of a bitter taste.  It tastes better if you add a little lemon and honey to it.

Now for the bad, I didn’t notice any weight loss results.  The only results I noticed were that it really got things moving in the bowel department.  That in turn led to me feeling dehydrated because I was using the bathroom at least twice per day.  So if you struggle with stomach issues or constipation, you may like this result.

So after reviewing this tea, I think it’s pretty middle of the road compared to other detox teas out there.

Detailed Opinion:

Ease of Use

Total Tea Gentle Detox is very easy to use.  These are individually wrapped tea bags and you only need to drink one per day.  The directions say to brew for 8-10 minutes, but I’d be careful with brewing that long because it contains a strong laxative.

I brewed mine for about 5-6 minutes just to be on the safe side.  I know the effects Senna Leaf can have and they aren’t pleasant.  So if you’re worried about it, start off by brewing weak, and only drinking ½ a cup until your body adjusts.

Taste

This one smells different than it tastes, which I didn’t expect.

It smells SO good; the cinnamon in it reminds me of Christmas.

When I tasted it, I found it tasted a lot like orange and citrus.  Orange must be one of the other “Natural Flavors” it contains.  The taste is a little bitter, but I didn’t mind it.  Those of you who like really sweet teas probably won’t care for this one, as it has no sweetness to it.

Ingredient Analysis

I like most of the ingredients found in Total Tea, expect for one.  It contains Senna Leaf, which is a strong laxative ingredient that I hate having in my detox teas.  It’s just so strong and damaging to your body based on how much it makes you go number 2.

This detox tea also contains Gynostemma Pentaphyllum Leaf, which is a medicinal ingredient used to lower cholesterol and high blood pressure.  It comes from a plant in China, and is very similar to Ginseng.

Rosehips and Echinacea Leaf are both included in this tea, and I loveee these two ingredients.  They’re both great for boosting your immune system.

There is also Chamomile Tea in this one, for all your Chamomile fans out there!  It’s used to treat upset stomachs and help you sleep.  So this is a good one to drink before bed (it’s caffeine free!).

Results

While using Total Tea, I didn’t see any drastic weight loss.  I felt okay while using this tea, but honestly, I didn’t notice much in the weight loss or bloating department. I was a little surprised that I didn’t even feel less bloated while using this tea.

I’m not surprised that I didn’t feel more energized though, because this tea is caffeine free.

Now, if you struggle with constipation, you’ll like this one because it definitely gets things moving in that department.  It gets things moving TOO much if you ask me; I was using the bathroom at least twice a day.  I even felt a little drowsy because I think this tea was depleting my body of water.

So yes, it gives results if you need to use the restroom, but it won’t help you miraculously drop 5 pounds.

Side Effects

My side effects were using the bathroom (#2), very often.  I felt drained because I lost so much water fluid.

I also felt very relaxed after drinking this tea, which is okay, just don’t drink it in the morning like I did some days.

Price/Value

Total Tea Gentle Detox is $0.72 per day, which is very affordable and less than your average teatox.

Guarantee

Yes, they have a money back guarantee, which is awesome!

They have a 30-day guarantee so you can try the product, and if you don’t like it, you can send it back.

I love a company that stands behind their products, so there’s very little risk in trying this one.
